Issue/Introduction

Does ZAB have to be installed as a separate SMP/E environment or can it be installed in the SYSVIEW SMP/E environment? 

Environment

SYSVIEW 17.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

Resolution

The instructions on the z/OS APM Bridge Installation Job should be followed. 

The Step 2 of the Installation job deletes the CSI and creates a new one. 

So if the existing SYSVIEW CSI is specified, it will be deleted and the SYSVIEW CSI will be lost. 

So ZAB MUST be installed in a separate SMP/E environment in a new CSI.

Run the z/OS APM Bridge ZAB Installation Job
