NFS shared storage volume getting full in Cloud Director

Issue/Introduction

• NFS File share ( /opt/vmware/vcloud-director/data/transfer) consumption using almost all the space available 

Environment

VMware Cloud Director 10.5.1.1

Cause

This is issue occurs when the feature "Enable early catalog export to optimize synchronization" for a catalog that is being published causing Cloud Director to keep the folders which contains files (such as vmdks), instead of automatically removing the folder.

Resolution

If the feature "Enable early catalog export to optimize synchronization" is required to publish a catalog, you will need to add extra storage space to store the published catalog at the Transfer Server storage location (NFS share).
