Change the App Control Client Communication Port

Issue/Introduction

To change the client communication port (41002) used by App Control by default

Environment

• App Control Agent: All Supported Versions
• App Control Server: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Uninstall, and then reinstall the App Control Server
   • Server Installation Guide
2. During reinstall, at the "Server Configuration Options screen", choose the new port.
3. Use the dascli setserver command to update all agents with the new server/ port information. This can be scripted for updating in bulk.
   • Update the Server Address or Port on an Agent
