VNI pool extension fails when updating start range with active allocations

Issue/Introduction

•  Attempting to modify the starting value of a Virtual Network Identifier (VNI) pool that already has active allocations results in a realization failure.
• When updating the Start range of a VNI pool in the NSX Manager UI, the system returns the following error: 
  Pool update/delete failed as it as allocated ids

Cause

Modifying the starting boundary of an active VNI range requires the system to migrate and re-map all currently allocated IDs. This specific operation is not supported by NSX.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, use one of the following supported methods:

Option 1: Create a new VNI pool Define a separate VNI pool with the desired range to accommodate new allocations without affecting the existing active pool.

Option 2: Extend the end range of the existing pool The system supports extending the boundary of a pool at the end of the range.

1. Log in to NSX Manager.
2. Navigate to Networking > Global Networking Config > EVPN/VXLAN VNI Pool.
3. Locate the actively used VNI pool.
4. Update the End value to the desired range and save the configuration
