Issue/Introduction

Some users are not able to login to IM and receive the pop-up message below.

Note: Users are able to login after 30 minutes

These are the messages captured in the hub.log

login - denied; user <username> has too many login failures, try again in #### seconds

Environment

Any IM version; 4.10 through 23.4.1

Cause

The Lock After Fails setting is too low. In this scenario the setting was set to 3 and Lock Out Time was 1800 (30 min)

Resolution

Workaround:

Increase the Lock After Fails to a higher value, example 6

Launch IM -> Find the hub to display the list of probes -> double click on the hub probe -> Click on the Settings button -> Click on the General Tab to see the Lock After Fails settings
