The threshold events From Performance Management are not visible in Spectrum

Issue/Introduction

We have implemented HTTPS in the environment and the thresholds stopped arriving while the Synch between PM and Spectrum works fine.

Spectrum stdout.log shows connection timeouts:

org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connect to HOST.domain.com:8482 [HOST.domain.com/10.162.32.111] failed: Connection timed out: connect

Environment

Any PM and Spectrum release

Cause

telnet locally on PM to port 8482 works fine
telnet from Spectrum to PM times out
tcpdump shows SYN packets to port 8482 arriving on PM interfaces 

 

local FW blocking the port 8482 on PM

Resolution

Allow port 8482 on PM server
