In a standard high-availability setup, the internet connection via the edge PPPoE link may fail if multiple HA failovers occur within a short duration, i.e., before the PPPoE session timeout period.
All Edge software versions
After an HA failover event, the Edge device failed to initiate the PPPoE CHAP negotiation with the PPPoE server, causing it to retain the old PPPoE IP address and resulting in an internet connection failure through the edge PPPoE link.
This issue is tracked under software issue #143549.
Upgrade the edge software version to 5.2.3.3 or 5.2.4.0 or 6.1.0.0 or higher versions.
As a workaround reboot the edge to clear the stale PPPoE IP address.
