Step 1: Verify Integration Configuration
Ensure that the integration between Aria Operations for Logs and Aria Operations is configured properly.
Step 2: Log in to Aria Operations for Logs
Access your Aria Operations for Logs instance.
Use the search function to look for the error message: “Bootbank cannot be found at path ‘/bootbank’.”
To refine the search, add two filters:
vc_event_type = exists
Text search for the error message.
Step 3: Enable the Alert
Click on the Alert Definitions
Search for "Bootbank:
Define the following information:
Description: "Host has a failed bootbank in VRLI"
Recommendation: "Please check the ESXi host for bootbank issues and rectify any problems to avoid boot failures."
Enable the option “Send to Aria Operations.”
Specify a Fallback Option, which is the object Log Insight should attach the alert to if the originating object isn’t found in Aria Operations.
Step 4: Finalize and Save
Save the alert configuration.
Ensure the integration is working by checking if the Built-in alert appears in Aria Operations when triggered.
