Agent on Windows fails to install/uninstall due to Windows DLL failed to load error

Issue/Introduction

Unable to install/uninstall the Workload Automation System Agent from Windows 2022 server, due to the following error:

Environment

OS: Windows 2022 Server and above
Component: Workload Automation System Agent 12.x

Resolution

Install: Run Agent installer in Compatibility mode:

1. On the Setup.exe file, right-click and then click Properties.
2. Select "Run this program in compatibility mode for" check box.
3. From the drop-down box, select the desired Windows OS. For example, Windows 8.
4. Click Apply.
5. Click OK.

Uninstall: Run the uninstall in Compatibility mode:

1. Navigate to the UninstallData directory beneath agent installation directory.
2. Right click on the uninstall program and select Properties.
3. Click Compatibility tab.
4. Select the "Run this program in compatibility mode for " check box.
5. In drop-down box, select Windows 8.
6. Click Apply
7. Click OK
8. Now, run the uninstall program as Administrator.
9. Agent gets uninstalled.
