Issue/Introduction

ETCD fails to start.

Environment

TCA 2.x, 3.x

Cause

ETCD expects a statically assigned IP address. If DHCP is used, and if the leases are lost or expired, then ETCD will fail to bind on startup, resulting in failure.

Resolution

Please submit a case with support for assistance in recovering ETCD. Incorrect steps can lead to irrecoverable data loss.
