ILOM console does not see iso USB storage

Issue/Introduction

When performing reimage operations on  Oracle X7 ,  X8 Appliances, to upgrade them from Layer7 10.1 to 11.0; there is  an error that does not allow us to proceed with the reimage .

After connecting the iso image as storage device, via Java the console and after pressing F8 at the boot, this is the boot menu

it is not showing  the usual USB option to start the installation as the correct example below ,

 

Resolution

The USB remote drive needs to be the second or third option to boot otherwise it is not visible in the ilom boot menu !

To correct this go into the BIOS and move the USB remote drive to the top of the list of boot devices.
