The vSphere Client Cluster Image tab shows an error message "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'event')"

Issue/Introduction

• When viewing the Updates > Image tab for a cluster in vSphere Client, an error message is shown on top of the page, stating:

Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'event')

        See below for an example:

• You may also notice an error stating  "can't access property "event", this.clientSdk.internal is undefined"

Environment

vCenter 8.x

Cause

This issue occurs when the browser cache on the user side contains expired information.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, clear the cache of the web browser and then reload vSphere Client.
