Issue/Introduction

IBM has included an option in a recent release of the z/OS operating system - z/OS 3.1, where the customer could set the ASVT address to be loaded as 31 bit or 24 bit.
Does MICS support running with the ASVT above the line in 31-bit mode?

Environment

All supported versions of MICS

Resolution

MICS supports running the ASVT in either 24-bit or 31-bit mode.
In addition, BASE SAS that serves as the pre-requisite for MICS makes no use of ASVT.

Additional Information

This value (CBLOC VIRTUAL31(IHAASVT)) is set in the SYS1.PARMLIB(DIAGxx) member.
