VMware Lifecyle Manager (vRSLCM) deployment of Aria Operations failure: Error Code "LCMVACONFIG80003"

Issue/Introduction

In VMware Lifecycle Manager (vRSLCM), deployment of Aria Operations failed at stage 5 of the request.  Password cannot be updated.

Cause

While trying to reset the password of the Aria Operations node to match the preconfigured one in vRSLCM, Simple Password Error was identified. Password did not meet the requirement for Aria Operations Suite product.

Resolution

• Delete the failed, in progress, deployment of Aria Operations environment.
• Recreate a new password in vRSLCM locker that meet the following requirements:
  • Minimum password length. Indicates the number of characters required for user passwords. The default length is eight characters.
  • Passwords must contain numbers. When selected, users must include a combination of numbers and letters in their passwords.
  • Passwords must not match user names. To ensure security, users are not allowed to use their user name as their password.
  • Passwords must contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter. When selected, users must include one or more uppercase and lowercase characters.
  • Passwords must contain special characters. When selected, users must include one or more special characters. Special characters include: !@#$%^&*+=
• Redeploy Aria Operations environment.
