My ConnectAll users don't have any common user information between systems. How can I sync users?

Issue/Introduction

My systems don't have any matching User information between the two adapters/systems that I can process with ConnectALL.  Is there another way I can sync users?

Here is a sample of the error in the Automation logfile:

Error Message : Record could not be created due to the error {"errorMessages":[],"errors":{"reporter":"The reporter specified is not a user.","assignee":"User

Resolution

It will be necessary to use the CSV import functionality.  Please review the "Import and Export Value Mapping" section in the link below.

  • Here are the basic steps:
    • Open the configuration details for that automation
    • Navigate to the User field mapping (in the Field Mapping section) and select the bars (not the gear) 
    • Export the field to a CSV file using the export option in the top right corner of that box
    • Change the user name information for each user name in the CSV file that will error and import the file to that field mapping
    • Import the User information back to the user field using the Import option
    • Rerun the Automation
