MUX 16.2.2 Grid views entering a value in string field drops first character

Issue/Introduction

In MUX 16.2.2 when you enter a value into a String type field, on a grid the first character gets dropped.

 

 

STR:

 

1.  In MUX go to the project grid/list page

 

2.  Configure the view to add Description field

 

3. Click on the field and enter abc.

   - Do not double click on the field

   - When you begin to type, the text box opens

   

 

 

Expected Results:  abc (or whatever you type in the field) shows

 

Actual Results:  bc shows in the field.

 

Workaround:  Double click in the cell to open the box before you begin typing.

Resolution

Reported as DE94832 . After review it was determined that in 16.2.2 this was a design change to prevent text fields from being overwritten by accident.

In previous versions a single click on the cell would open it for edit and if someone typed in there accidently (or deleted text) the updates were immediate since there is no save button.

To prevent this, now a double click is needed to open the cell to edit it.
