Sporadic RDP error using Proxy service

Issue/Introduction

The RDP proxy is used for connections to Windows servers, launching mstsc.exe via a UDP/TCP Service configured in PAM. Seemingly erratically it runs into the following error:

Users report receiving this error both while trying to connect and in the middle of an existing connection. 

Environment

Affects PAM releases up to 4.1.7

Cause

The PAM RDP Proxy was not handling all packets related to licensing correctly. The problem is not observed when launching mstsc in admin mode, which bypasses license checks.

Resolution

The problem will be fixed in the upcoming 4.1.8 and 4.2 releases.
