How do I cancel a set maintenance schedule for a device?

Issue/Introduction

The customer wants to cancel a maintenance schedule set on a device. There is no visible 'cancel' option in the options panel for the maintenance schedule. 

Environment

Smarts SAM 9.x, 10.x

Cause

This is by design. Acknowledgment of the notification cancels it.

Resolution

To delete a scheduled maintenance notification:

1. Log in to the console without user maint privileges.

2. In the Notification Log Console, right-click a SchedMaint notification.

3. Select Acknowledge.

   The scheduled maintenance notification is removed.
