Is there anyway to eliminate or minimize the outage due just to OTK upgrading process

Issue/Introduction

While upgrading OTK from OTK 4.4 to OTK 4.6 , there is an outage caused.

 

Environment

OTK 4.6

Cause

The outage is caused because when the upgrade runs, the policies will get overwritten but the customized policy becomes part of the revision history.

Resolution

Once the upgrade is complete, one needs to revert back to their custom policy via the revision history before they start to process traffic. One should expect some delays/an outage until one puts their custom policies in place and make the compatible changes to the custom policy.
