Issue/Introduction

After upgrading 3 CA APM environments from 10.7 HF #84 to 10.8 SP1 (i.e. 10.7 HF #84 -> 10.8 -> 10.8 SP1) we've observed that WebView has entirely lost it's resiliency to a loss of connection to the MOM.

(Note that the times when the loss of connectivity occurs are when the MOM or the server is recycled. Have not experienced this outside of that scenario.)

The experience is that when a user attempts to authenticate to WebView after a loss of connectivity to the MOM they are presented with an HTTP 500 error page:

HTTP ERROR 500 java.io.IOException: com.wily.isengard.message.MessageUndeliverableException: Outgoing mailbox is closed. Message cannot be sent

Resolution

Fixed by deploying APM 10.8 HF 6
