Issue/Introduction

Multiple VM VAPP Migration is not succesful and VM's dont show up in VMware Cloud Director 

 

Environment

VMware VMware Cloud Director 10.x 

VMware vCenter Server 8.x

Cause

Cross vCenter vMotion does not work as expected and does not list target VM's in VMware Cloud Director because of Database mismatch

Resolution

  • Power off the VM
  • Clear value of cloud uuid from VM's advanced configuration in vCenter
  • Unregister the VM from vCenter and register it back
  • Import the same VM then to VCD
