Issue/Introduction
Extra config elements on OVF are NOT retained such as:
cpuid.numSMT
sched.mem.pin
VM settings are getting lost during VM deployment in VCD
When exporting an OVF using the vSphere Client, some of the configured advanced VM options are lost despite both "Enable advanced options" and "Include extra configuration" are checked in the export wizard.
Even if manually adding the parameters into the .ovf configuration file and importing the OVF into Content Library, the added parameters are not retained.
Resolution
This is expected behavior as it is by design. There are several extra configurations that are not allowed for conversion as the system will not allow direct manipulation of them and is recommended to configure through proper VM configuration as a whole.
