VMware Bridged Network Connection not working

Issue/Introduction

The Virtual machines bridged network connection is not stable and has to be reconnected every time the workstation is launched.

Environment

VMware Workstation 16.x Pro

Resolution

To resolve the network bridged connection unstable error, please follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Select the Correct Internet Connection

1. On the virtual machine, go to VM -> Settings
2. On the Hardware tab, under Network connections select Bridged: Connected directly to the physical network and check the Replicate physical network connection state.
   
   
   
   
3. Click Ok 
4. Relaunch the Workstation

If the problem still persists follow the steps mentioned below under Step 2:

Step 2: Select VMnet0

1. On the virtual machine, go to VM -> Settings
2. On the Hardware tab-> under Network connections select Custom: Specific virtual network in the list of specific virtual networks select VMnet0
   
   
   
   
3. Click OK.
4. Relaunch the Workstation.
