The logs from an attached storage array may, over time, become large enough that the logs are wrapped or trimmed, or the oldest lines removed. This does not impact more recent logs
Powervault ME4 storage arrays
The logs grew large enough to reach the preset threshold and the oldest data was rolled off, or trimmed. The lines in /var/log/messages look like:
2024-06-18T15:00:14+00:00 hostname POWERVAULT[30412]: snlog: sn="XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" id="DS" m="23" c="6" event="DISK_STATUS" category="HARDWARE" ip="10.1.2.3" model="R640xl" msg="Managed logs wrapped: A log region has wrapped, and log data has been lost. (region: EC debug, region code: 8); "
There is nothing that needs to be done to correct this. This is a warning message and can be ignored.
