Issue/Introduction

• When running workflow Copy file from vCO to guest, the workflow fails with error: Connect to <host IP>:443 [/<host IP>] failed: Connect timed out (Workflow:Copy file from vCO to guest / Scriptable task (item1)#13

• When running workflow Copy file from vCO to guest, the workflow fails with error: Permission denied on file '/etc/temp/RedMe.txt' , right read not allowed (Workflow:Copy file from vCO to guest / Scriptable task (item1)#13)

Environment

• Aria Automation Orchestrator 
• Orchestrator Cloud Proxy for VMware Cloud

Cause

• After deploying the cloud proxy to the customer's VMC environment, no exceptions were set up within NSX Manager to allow IP traffic to pass from the Cloud Proxy to the ESXi hosts where the VM's lived.

Prerequisites

• Allow network traffic to ESXi for HTTPS (TCP 443) services to the discovered IP address of the cloud proxy.
• Allow network traffic to vCenter for ICMP (All ICMP), SSO (TCP 7444), and HTTPS (TCP 443) services to the discovered IP address of the cloud proxy.
• Allow network traffic to the NSX Manager for HTTPS (TCP 443) services to the discovered IP address of the cloud proxy.
