When configuring a "Data Exposure via Securlets" policy a warning These responses will affect data as defined by Exposure Types condition may be displayed.
The warning appears when any combination of Internal, External and Public exposure types conditions are mixed with the Unexposed exposure type in the same policy. For example External, Public and Unexposed are selected.
This warning is displayed to the administrator to bring their attention to the policy the policy may affect Unexposed files, which by definition are private files or files shared with one or more internal users. When Unexposed files are selected explicitly in the policy the "Access Settings", next to which the warning will be displayed, is not available in the responses section. It is only active with the other exposure types, or when Unexposed type is mixed with those. The policy will work but caution and throughout testing is advised to ensure that the policy in this configuration does not affect daily business of users with their private or files shared with specific internal contributors.
To avoid any potential issues disrupting users from using their private, or files shared with a couple internal contributors, it is recommended to prepare a separate policy for the Internal, External or Public exposures types and a separate policy for the Unexposed type.
