Issue/Introduction

While executing a Datacom DBUTLTY RETIX it stayed in the "sorting  1 keys" for a Data area for a very long time and
it only sends this message

DB01321I RETIX BASE nnnn AREA aaa SORTING kkkkkk KEYS

Cause

There are no DBUTLTY status messages when this index housekeeping activities are running for
long periods, it will just kept getting the last status message

Resolution

It is possible that RETIX when using sort option can get stuck in the sorting message
DB01321I RETIX BASE nnnn AREA aaa SORTING kkkkkk KEYS
while the index is doing background work.

Especially in the case of multiple very large data area RETIXs in the same base.

Sample Scenario:

The RETIX stayed in the "sorting  1 keys" for an
empty Data area for 98 minutes and then it moved onto the
next RETIX of the next data area. During the 98 minutes the
DBUTLTY RETIX was doing heavy IO to the IXX area

The reason is because it triggered some sort of IXX cleanup and
it lasted for 98 minutes. There are no DBUTLTY status messages
when this index housekeeping activities are running for
long periods, it will just kept getting the last status message
which was " sorting  1 keys ".
