Moving a brownfield environment from NSX Limited Export to Full version results in repo sync and configure NSX for ESXI transport nodes fails

Issue/Introduction

NSX managers are deployed using OVAs with LE in their file name (limited export) and full version NSX is now desired

Configure NSX results in repo sync failures and Failed to install software on host. Failed to download NSX components on host. Check the host connectivity and if "/tmp" folder has enough space

 

 

 

Environment

VMware NSX-T Data Center, VMware NSX

Cause

There is no supported migration path from Limited Export to full version of NSX

 

 

 

Resolution

Production environments will need deployed from full version NSX manager OVAs
