Is it advised to leave on the MySQL General Query log for auditing/logging purposes?

Issue/Introduction

MySQL General Query log will log each query that the server executes.  We have interest in logging this data, is it advised?

Resolution

Enabling the general query log to be running 100% is highly suggested to not be done.

This will impact performance and the log will get incredibly large very quickly.
