Issue/Introduction

The VMware Smart Assurance and TCSA application suite uses ASL scripting to provide customers a method to create, run and perform actions that can also be done via the dmctl command via the command line. 
Often customers will want to customize or create new ASL scripts to meet their needs and request support for custom scripts.

TCSA 2.X

Cause

Creating ASL scripts can be a helpful in meeting customer needs. They can also be challenging and complex as well depending on the desired outcome.

Resolution

Custom ASL scripts is not supported by VMware Technical Support Engineers.  Customers can contact their VMware Account Manager to request Professional Services Engagement to assist with customized scripts to meet their needs.
