Issue/Introduction

Symptoms

  • Pre-existing Photon BYOI Template for Kubernetes VM template(s) missing or are no longer being displayed in the TCA UI.
  • VcResourceValidationFailed error
    Error: template /directory/photonImageName not found
  • Deploying VM template from Content Library deployments timing out.

Environment

2.x

Cause

Underlying storage issues prohibiting Telco Cloud Automation (TCA) from accessing image directory.

Resolution

If the Photon BYOI Template for Kubernetes is missing or is no longer being seen in the TCA UI:

  1. Delete the Photon BYOI Template for Kubernetes from vCenter.
  2. Download a new Photon BYOI Template for Kubernetes based on the version of TCA you are running.
  3. Upload the Photon OVA to vCenter and convert to a template.
  4. Resync the vCenter connection within TCA

If the template is still not displayed in TCA, review the underlying storage for any issues such as:

  • User permissions.
  • Access to the directory path.
  • Duplicate datastore paths.
