When testing the CA Business Intelligence (CABI) - CA Service Desk Manager (CA SDM) ODBC connection from within the CABI Universe Designer, receive the following error:

CA Service Desk Manager 14.x
CA Business Intelligence 4.1.x
This issue is usually related to some services/processes on the CA Service Desk Manager server being down or not running. Basically, CABI can not communicate properly with the CA Service Desk Manager server.
Restart the CA Service Desk Manager services and the CA SDM ODBC services. Also, run a pdm_status and ensure that all processes are running. Then try testing the CABI-SDM ODBC connection again.
