Symptoms:
After some changes were made to the CA Mainframe Software Manager (CSM) SAMPLIB PASADVOP member to allow advanced proxy settings, the FTP connection fails and the MSMTC log displays the following error messages:
ERROR (http-bio-22120-exec-7#getProductNewsFeed) 2016-01-18 14:39:30,135 (AdvancedDataImpl.java:118): PAS - An exception occured unmarshalling FTP Advanced Settings from HLQ.SAMPLIB(PASADVOP)
javax.xml.bind.UnmarshalException
- with linked exception:
íorg.xml.sax.SAXParseException: The entity "REMOTE_USER" was referenced, but not declared.
Environment:
CA Chorus Software Manager 6.1, 6.0 or earlier.
Cause:
An error was made while changing the PASADVOP member when trying to configure the advanced FTP Proxy Settings.
Resolution:
Verify your PASADVOP member. The location of it is specified under
/Settings/System Settings/Software Acquisition
in the Advance Settings Data Set parameter.
An invalid FIRECMD is the cause for this.
Sample for an invalid FIRECMD for this case here is:
<FIRECMD>USER &REMOTE_USER;§&REMOTE_HOST;</FIRECMD>
Adjust the PASADVOP member to your needs.
Additional Information:
Information how to change the FTP Advanced Proxy Settings are documented here in the CA Chorus Software Manager Documentation wki.
