Issue/Introduction

After performing an upgrade of the Module-Manager from 7.3 to 7.4, MySQL upgrade fails and database is in a dirty state.

Error message seen in Databases/MySQL/Default/logs/app-mysql-default.out:

unable to perform requested operation!

/opt/app/APG/Databases/MySQL/Default/bin/mysql (Text file busy)

 'Databases MySQL Default :: 5.7.37-linux-x64' is in a dirty state!

Watch4Net 7.x

Cause

This condition was seen during a gui installation. The root cause is unknown, but possibly due to service start/stop activities not aligning in a timely manner during the upgrade process.

Resolution

the following restore command can be used to roll the mysql module back to the previous version. 

./manage-modules.sh restore mysql
