Issue/Introduction

When navigating and making changes in some settings under Management Center UI > Administration > Settings, clicking "Save" and "Activate"   , management center becomes unresponsive.

Expected behavior

 

Resolution

Below are the following settings that needs to be Activated and restart of Management Center service.    

  • Active Directory
  • Device Communications
  • Housekeeping
  • LDAP
  • Radius

Navigating to advance URL https://mc-ip:8082/api/system/settings should also tell which settings requires a restart.

Recent releases of  Management Center versions would have a pop-up Confirmation window  Administrator with messaging that a restart is required.

Note:   Restart Management Center manually if Device Communications settings has been changed via CLI/SSH as this will not give prompt that "A restart is required"
