Resolution

Follow these steps to download the VMware Remote Console (VMRC) from Broadcom support portal for Windows and Linux Operating Systems

• Procedure to download VMware Remote Console (VMRC) versions up to 12.x:
• Procedure to download VMware Remote Console (VMRC) version 13.x.

Note: For MacOS, You can install VMRC by searching for "VMware Remote Console" using the App Store application on your MacOS machine.

"Download Remote Console" option available in vSphere client may redirect to old VMware links or Broadcom support portal depending on the version. Below procedure is the recommended way to download VMware Remote Console (VMRC)

Procedure to download VMware Remote Console (VMRC) versions up to 12.x:

• Log in to the Broadcom Support portal.
• Go to My Downloads
• Search for vSphere and select "VMware vSphere"

• Select the license type and Major version

• Go to Drivers & Tools tab
• Read the Terms and Conditions by clicking on the "Terms and Conditions" link.
• Check the box before "I agree to the Terms and Conditions"
• Expand the list for the required version of VMware Remote Console and click the download icon

Procedure to download VMware Remote Console (VMRC) version 13.x.

Note: VMware Remote Console 13.x is only available with VMware Cloud Foundation and VMware vSphere Foundation entitlement

• Log in to the Broadcom Support portal.
• Go to My Downloads
• Search for foundation and select "VMware Cloud Foundation" or "vSphere vSphere Foundation" depending on your entitlement

• Expand VMware Cloud Foundation 9  or VMware vSphere foundation 9 and Select the version

   

• Select "View Group" under "VMware Remote console"

• Read the "Terms and Conditions"  and "Compliance Reporting Terms and Conditions" by selecting the respective links
• Check the box before "I agree to the Terms and Conditions and Compliance Reporting Terms and Conditions
• Click the download icon
