Youtube Video Categorization quota exceeded on ProxySG/EdgeSWG

Issue/Introduction

Event log on SGOS informs that Youtube quota has exceeded:

"Error in response - reason:'quotaExceeded', message:'The request cannot be completed because you have exceeded your <a href="/youtube/v3/getting-started#quota">quota</a>.'" 0 500002:1 youtube_response_buffer_stream.cpp:90

Environment

SGOS 7.3.x/7.4.x

Cause

• The error message informs the administrator via Event Log that the Youtube Content Filter configured, that detects video categorizations, has reached its publicly available quota limit from Google API (free limit is 10,000 units per day). ProxySG will not filter youtube videos by categorization if the limit is reached until next day.
• The message relates to 3rd party content filter that has been applied on the SGOS configuration called Youtube Categories which checks categorization of Youtube videos via publicly available Youtube API v3

Resolution

 

• Default, free quota for the Youtube API is 10 000 calls per day for every installed key on ProxySG/EdgeSWG. If the quota is exceeded, then no Youtube Video Categorization will be used until next day.
• Customer has an option to increase the API limit from 10 000 calls per day to it's own preferences by buying additional API capacity via Google Account https://developers.google.com/youtube/v3/getting-started
