Scheduler Job Management

Issue/Introduction

On Scheduler Main function start up parameter, currently SMF=YES is indicated and cross lpar dependency using NJE has been implemented.

Are there are any effects or impact on workload if it is changed to SMF=NO, in order to have the MEMO wtor not depend on CNVTNUM?

Resolution

The CAIRIM SMF=YES option is there to enable the Memo function during the JCL conversion phase before the job gets into an initiator.

The only thing that occurs with SMF=NO is that the Memo function is executed in the inserted step after the job starts.

There will be no impact to the workload.
