UVMS upgrade fails: Error message = S_NODENAME cannot be retrieved

Issue/Introduction

Upgrading Univiewer Management Server from v6.7 to 7.x fails when Java 6 is used.  The pop-up error message is shown below .

 

Error during installation:
Error message = S_NODENAME cannot be retrieved

Environment

Product: CA Automic Dollar Universe, Univiewer Management Server

Cause

Univiewer Management Server v7.x requires Java 8 or Java 11. 

Resolution

Please make sure to install Java 8 or 11 before upgrading the UVMS.
