WinPE desktop is returning a Windows Boot Manager failure message and is not launching

Issue/Introduction

When trying to image multiple PCs the boot.wim for WinPE loads and then te following Windows Boot Manager failure is observed:

Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause.
Status: 0xc000000d
Info: An unexpected error has occurred.

If only one or two machines are tried then WinPE works.  

If this is tried over and over (often 15 times or more per PC) WinPE will finally load and then imaging works fine.

Environment

GSS 3.3 RU11

Cause

An old ADK version was still in use. 

Resolution

Make sure the latest ADK version supported for the GSS version that you have installed is being used per KB article Can the latest WinPE 11 ADK be used with the latest version of DS and GSS
