Crossconnect Reference error when using the FIXED masking function in FDM

Issue/Introduction

We are trying to mask a table using the FIXED masking function. However, the masking job fails with the following error:

Cross Reference option chosen but CROSSREFCONNECT not set in options file

Looking at our masking configuration, we don't have a Cross reference identifier defined, and none of the CROSSREF options are used in the options file. Why is FDM throwing this error?

Cause

Looking closely at the masking configuration file (csv) file; Column J: Cross Reference field, or the FDM Masking configuration UI - Extra Options: Cross reference identifier field, we found that there is a space character in this field, which was causing FDM to think the Cross-Reference was being used.

Resolution

Removing the space character and saving the masking configuration, resolved the issue.
