Issue/Introduction

Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager (formerly known as vRealize Lifecycle Manager) fails to display the health status of your private cloud environment, resulting in an "Information not available" message

Environment

Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager 8.x

Cause

The health status information in Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager relies on data collected by Aria Operations. There are two possible reasons why the health status might not be available:

Missing or Misconfigured Aria Operations:
Aria Operations might not be present in the same environment as your Aria Suite products, or the Aria Suite management pack for SDDC health monitoring might not be installed within Aria Operations

Products in Separate Environments:
Aria Suite products (Aria Operations for Logs, Aria Automation) might be deployed in separate environments within Aria Lifecycle Manager, creating a disconnect between the products and Aria Operations

Resolution

1. Ensure Aria Operations and Aria Suite Products Share the Same Environment:

Verify that Aria Operations, Aria Operations for Logs, and Aria Automation are all configured within the same private cloud environment in Aria Operations.

2. Import Products into Aria Operations Environment (if applicable):

If any Aria products were previously created in separate environments, use the "Add Product" feature in Aria Lifecycle Manager to import them into the Aria Operations environment. This allows Aria Operations to monitor their health.

Steps for Importing Products (using Aria Operations for Logs as an example):

  1. In Aria Lifecycle Manager, navigate to the target environment containing Aria Operations
  2. Click on "Products" and then "Add Product."
  3. Select Aria Operations for Logs rom the available products list
  4. Follow the on-screen wizard to complete the import process
  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for other Aria Products (if applicable)

After completing these steps, Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager should be able to retrieve health information from Aria Operations and display the status within the user interface.

Additional Information

Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager retrieves health status information from a single instance of Aria Operations within the private cloud environment. Configure Aria Operations to manage only the Aria Suite products within the same environment.

This article assumes you have Aria Operations is deployed. If you don't require Aria Operations for other functionalities, the health status information in Aria Lifecycle Manager won't be available.
