Windows Virtual Machine loses its Ethernet Adapter.
The Virtual Machine Log file reports the below events:

The Ethernet adapter was ejected from the Windows Guest OS.
If HotPlug is enabled, The Safely Remove Hardware option for the virtual hardware appears in the Windows System Tray.
If the Network Adapter does not exist on the VM, add and configure a new Network Adapter.
If the Network Adapter does exist on the VM, reconnect the network adapter and reboot the VM.
You can disable HotPlug capability for devices using the vSphere Client or by editing the .vmx file of the Virtual Machine. This setting does not interfere with CPU/memory HotPlug capabilities.
