vCenter Permission Denied when trying to delete vCloud Director OrgVDC

Issue/Introduction

Error in task: User credentials used to connect from VMware Cloud Director to vCenter Server do not have enough privileges on object of type Folder with value group-###### in vCenter Server.

Make sure the required privilege(s) Folder.Rename are set for this user in vCenter Server.

No Permission to perform the specified action. vCenter Server Reported: Permission to perform this operation was denied.

Environment

VMware vCloud Director 10.x

Cause

Standalone VM Folder is missing from vCenter.

Stale record in the vCloud Director DB related to it.

Resolution

Contact VMware Support to remove stale record in the vm_container table.
