Issue/Introduction

 Question:

We are tying to establish an SMTP email action to use with an APM Alert. However, the SMTP email server that we have access to does not use port 25. Also, it requires authentication - username and password. I see in WebView that I can define the port and whether it is SSL or TLS, but not set authentication information.  Is this supported?

 Answer:

Currently CA APM does not provide out of the box support for SMTP Mail server authentication and it is recommended that you instead point to a different SMTP server which allows anonymous access. There is already an existing enhancement request which is wish listed by the APM Product Management team and it's encouraged that you vote up the idea so it gets higher priority for future release inclusion.
