Issue/Introduction

We are seeing an issue with alarming after Spectrum detects a link is down. After the link comes back up, the suppressed condition is not cleared for the alarm even though the link is back up.

For the interfaces associated with the link:

On interface 1, the following attributes are set:
GeneratePortstatusAlarms - Yes
ok_to_poll - Yes
PollPortStatus - Yes

On interface 2 the following attributes are set:
GeneratePortstatusAlarms - No
ok_to_poll - No
PollPortStatus - No

The link between the two models goes down.

Interface 1 alarms Critical. Interface 2 does not alarm.

When the link comes back up, the Critical alarm on interface 1 clears. However, it then goes Suppressed with the following event:

Suppressed Apr 26, 2024, 1:32:16 PM EDT    Device1_Et0    0x10d17    The link status of port (name - Device1_Et0, type - Gen_IF_Port) is good, however the port has been put into a suppressed state because its linked interface is currently DOWN.    System

However, both port are ifOperStatus and ifAdminStatus up so they both should now be Green.
