Issue/Introduction

When EDPA service is running with 'High-entropy ASLR' set to 'On by default' applications like Google Chrome, MS Edge, Quick Assist, MS teams may experience issues like going blank while launching or will not launch at all.

Environment

Windows 10, 11

DLP 16.0 +

Cause

If setting Go to Windows Security->App & browser control->Exploit protection->High-entropy ASLR and set it to "On by default", with edpa service running we experience issues while launching some applications like Google Chrome, MS Edge, Quick Assist, MS teams . 

 

 

Resolution

Workaround is to set High-entropy ASLR to "Off by default" which will resolve this issue.

A fix is available in DLP 16.1 version.
