Q. What does the Network(RDMA NIC: RoCE v2) is vSAN certified check do?

This health check checks whether the RDMA NICs used in the vSAN cluster are certified and the current vSAN configuration is also certified for the RDMA NICs by the Broadcom Compatibility Guide (VCG).

Note: This check is only applicable when RDMA is enabled on the vSAN cluster.

Q: What does it mean when it is in a warning state?

It means that the RDMA NIC is not certified or the current vSAN configuration is not certified for the RDMA NIC by the Broadcom Compatibility Guide (VCG).

Q. How does one troubleshoot and fix the warning state?

1. Update the latest vSAN HCL DB from the "vSAN HCL DB up-to-date" health to get the latest certification info for the RDMA NIC.
2. If the RDMA NIC is not certified by Broadcom Compatibility Guide (VCG), you can replace the RDMA NIC device with another RDMA NIC device certified by the Broadcom Compatibility Guide (VCG).
3. If the RDMA NIC is certified by Broadcom Compatibility Guide (VCG), but the current vSAN configuration is not certified for the RDMA NIC, you can consider to change the vSAN configuration if you still want to use the RDMA NIC.
