How to increase java heap space on iDash Server ?

Issue/Introduction

When we get the following messages reported on the iDash Server node :

 Exception in thread "PoolCleaner[29855319:1451473016745]" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space < ====

....

com.ca.idash.core.exception.IdashException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError:Java heap space <====

....

java.lang.OutOfMemoryError:Java heap space <====

....

com.ca.idash.core.exception.IdashException: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError:Java heap space < ==== 

These messages indicate that Java heap space is getting out of memory.

How to increase java heap space on iDash Server ?

Resolution

The solution is to increase the value of “max-heap-size” parameter in “iDash.jnlp” file under $CATALINA_HOME/webapps/idash directory.
