Issue/Introduction

During the installation of AutoSys on Windows using Oracle for the database, the following error appears during database validation...

CAUAJM_E_119008 Unable to determine the bitness of the library or "oci.dll" is not 64-bit client library.

Confirmed that the Oracle Instant Client is 64-bit.

Environment

AutoSys 12.x Windows Oracle

Cause

The CAUAJM_E_119008 error will occur if the ORACLE_HOME path contains spaces.

Resolution

When asked to specify the ORACLE_HOME path during the install, include quotes around the path if it contains spaces. Alternatively, ensure the Oracle client is installed in a path that does not contain spaces.
